Lunch time

Today at luck I shared some of my broccoli with Preston, he even took a huge piece out of my hand and stuffed it into his mouth, then took the last remaining pieces from me. I asked him to share his broccoli with me but he proceeded to finish his with out sharing. I was a little sad he did not share with me but proud he ate that much broccoli

Tonight Preston fell in the shower, after Holly had him all dried off and all calm he came to me to tell he he had a boo boo. Preston " Papa I have a boo boo right there, that right there" He was was pointing to his elbow. I kissed it for him and made the world better. j

Today I was amazed by Preston. We went to the beach in the late afternoon for some swings, slide, spelling in the sand, and then back home. A short visit but it was big, as we walked into the parking lot Preston wanted to spell. He grabs his rake and starts spelling. " P R E S T O N " I ask him what that spells Preston tells me Addison. The thing is I never heard him spell his name before without help. I love him so much. j

On Thursday I was taking the dog out for a quick pee. Preston wanted to come along. So down the stairs. and out the door. As we stepped outside the rain started to come down pretty hard. I went to let her pee but Lucy had a different idea. I had to get a jacket since Lucy wanted to take her sweet time. Preston, Lucy and I went back inside to get jackets. Locking the door and letting Preston know I was running upstairs to grab jackets. I bound up the stairs, back in the house, grabbed the jackets and head back out. By this time Preston has made up the stairs, I meet him at the top of the stairs and he say " I Love You Papa ". I was so blown away. I got on my knees told him the same and gave him a big hug. A day to remember. j

Addison had yams today.

Lets sing

Driving around town today with the kids and the radio on, Tom Petty and the traveling something comes on and I hear from the back seat Papa lets sing. At first I was not to sure what Preston had said but after the third time and a quick look in the toddler to english dictionary we were sing "last night it had to be last night." j

Chillin

Today I thought to myself I have lost 2hrs of down time to my day due to the fact of Preston will not go down for an afternoon nap. I knew this would happen at some point and I think he still needs it. This afternoon Preston finally feel asleep around 4. When he went down Addison woke up. I feed her a little bottle and after we just chilled on the couch for a bit till she wanted another nap. It was relaxing chillin with my #1 girl. j

Seagull

This morning after dropping Holly at the train, Preston, Addison and I are driving out of the parking lot with the windows down we hear a couple of Seagulls. I say to Preston see the birdies and Preston answers no Papa those are Seagulls. j

Twinkle Twinkle

The other day coming back from the Preston belts Twinkle Twinkle and its not like he sings, I have never heard the boy sing before but he sings out Twinkle Twinkle and get every word right. Amazing. j

Poops on the Porch

Today I picked Preston up from school. As we mad our way home and climbed up on the porch Preston told me he was having poops. I asked him to hold on so we could put them in the potty. Preston replied no Papa I put them in my diaper, big poops Papa. Preston was not joking when he said big poops. I was so proud of him for telling me he was going poops he got an emma. j

Mama, Papa take Addison out

It has been a week since Addison has been sleeping in her crib in the same bedroom as Preston. The first couple of nights it was not bad but not we hear Addison cry a little and right after Preston say Mama Papa take Addison out. He is a sleepy grumpy little man. Now he has left his room for our bed and even Papa's bed aka the couch. We hear him say I sleep Papa bed. j

Whats Dat

Whats Dat Papa Whats Dat Papa, is what Preston has been asking the couple of week, from his finger to gas lines and even down spouts. It's the Whats Dat kinda age for Preston. j

I do construction

For the last year and half Holly and I have been tuned into the DIY and HGTV with Preston catching a bit here and there. Add this to a Home Depot workbench with all the tools bought earlier this year you have the fixin's for a little man doing construction. Preston has been banging on the walls for a month now and he has finally made progress and not in a good way. He has started to remove the paint off of some of our moldings.

Pappa (Now Preston of you keep on doing construction Pappa will take your tools away). Preston ( that will make Preston sad.)

So I took all his tools, we will see what will happen.j

Bike Time

Preston has been riding his push bike almost everyday. He has gotten to the point were he can carve turns. I hear him on his bike saying YAH YAH!. He loves his bike more than going swimming. Addison has been joining us on the bike rides in her new chariot the backpack where she flawlessly falls asleep. Even Lucy has gotten in on it. Every one is having a good time.j

Trucks

This morning while we were getting ready to drop Holly off at the train Preston was playing truck. He walks over to Addison's and places one of his trucks into her car seat for her to play with as he plays with one around her seat. Then switches it up with the one he was playing with. It was great to see him share with his little sister. j

Good Book

Last night Preston wanted me to be in the room while Holly read him stories before bed time. As I sit on his bedside Preston gets up and walks over to bookcase and pulls out Pigs Parade and say's this good book Pappa and hands me the book. He sits down also with a book for himself. He felt we all needed books for story time. It was so darn cute, Holly and I looked at each other and had a little laugh. j

Rolling

I put Addison down on a play mat thinking when I get back she will be in the same spot when I left her. 3 months she is not going any where, a minute later she has rolled over or trying, if she not rolling she is spinning herself counter clockwise. The girl has moves. j

Suckie

Today at music class as Preston ran around The Racer was busy at work. Addison sits in her car seat and I check on her from time to time. I took a quick look to see how she was. Sucking on her favorite fingers. Five minutes later I take another quick look and she had picked up her suckie and put it in her mouth. Now she is only tree months old and I really did not think she was able to do something like that but she can. j

Cool Dude

Today I drove Preston to school, when I looked in the rearview mirror he had put on his cool dude sunglasses on just rolling.

Then there was Four

I was just looking at some photos of our family, it made me think how great it is that there is four of us now. I am excited about the future of our family.j

Circle

When the Bubs holds Holly and my hand he will say circle.j

Run Paapaa

Ran a 5 miler today. Preston had a ball running after me before the race and cheering me on with more cow bell. Very happy. j

Books

This morning Preston awoke at 5:30. He was in a daze wanting to watch a show, while in my daze I told him the shows were still sleeping, I got him a cracker and brought him back to bed. In his room he got his big truck book and put it in his bed, lied down. When I came back at 6 he was fast asleep with his book. j

Second Day

Yesterday was the first I had both Addison and Preston. Addison was a little tired since we kept her up till I dropped Preston off for his fist day of school aka day care. After she slept a good two hours, bottle and back to pick up Preston from school. Preston did a great job at school, he cried just a little towards the end around 11:30, He was missing his Papa. Lunch and nap time went well every one down for a nap, then play time and to the train to pick up Mama. It was a good day. Today has been a little more trying, in Preston eye's I was unhappy.It just happened so fast, and the next thing I knew I was yelling at him carrying up the stairs, pinning him to the door and carrying him to his room where I dropped him off till I got Addison down for a nap and I am sure she did not like all the drama either. After I caught my breath I went to talk to Preston about what just happened and to apologize also. When I came I Preston was saying Papa happy. There was a moment I thought about giving him a swat, I am glad I did not but my action were not any better. I would like to say every thing is OK, but who knows what damage was done by an outburst like that. Preston is such a wonderful little soul and I would like to keep it like that. I really need to myself in check and not get all caught up in the emotion of the moment when occasions like this happen. Just step away let Preston do what he needs to do and then get on with the day. I love my little man. j

Big Day

We have a big day tomorrow, Preston has his first day at school aka day care, Holly is back to the grind, I hope one day I'll find a way where we all can stay home and I am home with Preston and Addison. I look forward to being with the two nuggets and will miss the company of my sweetheart.i really enjoyed spending the last three months with you and will treasure the time we spent together. j

The Gun Show

Awhile back I taught Preston the Gun Show. He was not into it, no gun show Papa he would say. In the last couple of weeks we have come back to the GS and Preston has embraced it, he squeezes biceps and the show is on. Gun Show. j

Days

A wonderful day spent with Addison and Preston. In the morning I was able to spend sometime with Addison while Holly brought Preston to his second dental app. He was the star of Dr.Baronne's practice. Holly told me Preston showed a 4 year how it was done. Addison and I did a little dancing, practiced some bassinet and almost made it to a bottle. Then we switched off and I took Preston to Big Orange a.k.a Home Depot where we played hammers. Then it was off to Sherman Williams to buy paint. Preston was really into buying paint, so much so in the store he started to clean with a brush and a paint can that was addopted to a spray bottle. Back home before nap time Holly read to both Addison and Preston, it was a really touching site. j

Laughs

Addison laughs, dances and gives great big smile, we cooked dinner tonight while Holly and Preston were off at the Y swimming. We had a great time, smiles, dancing and laughs.

Car Ride

We had a great car ride down to Providence RI today, we went to visit Aunt Des for her 31st birthday and Addison was an angel. Down and back she was great. Really the first car ride with her not crying. The Bubs did a bang up job also. We are a growing family and I am loving it. j

Car Wash

I have upped my training the last couple of weeks, when I come home from a run or bike I have two open arms waiting for me from a small little man who gives me a hug until he finds I am wet. Pappa wet, Pappa car wash get clean. We washed the car a couple of weeks ago. j

Home

Came back from a run today hoping to be greeted by a little man. I was not, the house was eerily quite, I walk into the dinning room to hear Papa Hugs Kisses, I walk into Preston's room to receive hugs, he tells me I'm cold, he takes off my visor and tells me to take off my jacket. He gives me an other hug Papa wet. I love my little man. j

Singing Beach

We were off to singing beach to play with friends, Preston buried himself in sand while Addison slept well tucked into the wrap, After Captian Dusty's for orange ice cream and a Papa shake. Today was a good day.

I run naked

So Bubs has been running naked around the house for quit awhile now but the narrator Bubs has not. The other night Holly and I undress Bubs as we hold him back for the few seconds we can and Bang off he goes I Run Naked Whooohooo I Run Naked Whooohooo. We laugh not because he is saying run naked, it was The Whooohooo"s we have never heard him say them and in-context, it was priceless. j

2 Weeks

It has been a little over two weeks since we brought Addison home from the hospital and Preston has been doing a bang up job of being a big brother. With kisses, hugs and smiles he has written the book on being a big brother entitled (Big Brother Takes Charge) We as parents are very fortunate to be blessed with two wonderful children. Just recently we have coined some new nick names for the two big orange and little blue. How long will this last who knows but one thing I do know is how strong our little racer is. Last night has Holly lays in bed in a drunken on no sleep Addison put both hands down on her chest and lifts herself right off Holly. Oh my God Holly says just about to pass out from lack of sleep and our little girl is pumping out the developmental mile stones. She is going to be a strong one. j

Big Day

Yesterday was a big day, unprompted Preston went into the bathroom put down the toilet seat put his potty seat onto the toilet and pooped. He did not tell us, I found out right before I took a shower. It was celebratory kind of day. So proud of the little man. j

Love of Family

I am very happy to see my sister to embrace my family. Auntie Des came up to day and gave Addison a bath and held her for a bit. She was also very engaging with Preston. I feel very fortunate to have as sister like her.

I sleepin

In a day there are 1 million things Bubs does for me to write to you about but there is always one that tops them all. Tonight Holly goes into Preston's room to get some jami's for Addison. She walks in and Preston in his sleep say's I sleepin I tired I sleepin. So funny.

WoW

Bubs has been on a tear since he has turned Two. He has emerged as a toddler and amazes me everyday. There have been many stories that have come and gone and wished I have kept up with him to share some of them with all of you. But I'm not hear to talk about Bubs, I'm here to announce the birth of our second child Addison Grace Matulewicz born on March 2nd at 11:54 am weighing 8.2 pounds and a length of 20.5 inches. She is the most amazing site in the world and I am very excited to be here Papi. To raise her with the most wonderful big brother a lillte sister could have. We are raising the bar. Watch out world here we come The Rock Star a Player to be Named Later and their Papa.j

Strawberries on the bus

Tonight as Holly and I sing the wheels on the bus Preston calls out things to be on the bus. Preston calls out cake, we sing cake is yum yum on the bus, next Preston calls out strawberries and Holly replies strawberries can't talk. It was so final we all started to laugh thus ending the bus song. j

The Rock Star Speaks

Holly and I are in the kitchen getting dinner ready while Preston was at the dinning room table eating his pasta. From no where we hear I love pasta. We both look at each other did he just I love pasta. He sure did it. This was a mile stone for Preston for this was his first sentence. I excited to hear what is next from my little man. j

New

I am not the type of person to write a lot not like others that I know but tonight Holly was reading an older post from the blog I have been writing and I realized I have not written in a while. What she read struck a cord in how Preston used his go go go's and have it's. Recently his have it's have morphed into share or I share meaning I want it or mine. I am very happy he has not learned those terms yet and it is just a matter of time till he does. For now I am happy to share with Preston and hope to share the true meaning of share with him. j
